"Xander?" Andrew asked shyly as they entered their motel room with Giles in tow.

Xander quickly scanned the room, his eye stopping momentarily on the two beds and the coffee machine, before turning to Andrew and nodding. "Yeah?"

"There's only two beds. You think they left enough bedding that I can sleep on the floor?" Andrew fidgeted on his feet, nervous. "Or I could go get more…"

Xander shook his head and looked at Giles. "Take one, we'll take the other, I'm not fussy. I just need to sleep."

Giles rubbed the edge of his nose, nodding. "Are you quite certain? I could go back to the reception…" He waved at the closed door behind him and made to leave, but Xander interrupted him, shaking his head more vehemently.

"No, you're tired, I'm tired, Andrew's tired, we're all totally exhausted, I say we just sleep." He nodded once before dropping the bags he was carrying and stepping out of his shoes. "Besides, the bed's big enough for two." He smiled at Andrew, wishing the other man would stop fidgeting and start relaxing already, they weren't going to eat him or beat him or whatever he was thinking. For once, they were way too exhausted to even think about doing such a thing.

Giles nodded once and walked into the small bathroom, very much in need of a shower and fresh clothes. He could at least get the shower; the clothes would have to wait until they had time to hit the mall. Tomorrow. At least Buffy, Willow and Xander would be able to do what they had planned to do, he thought, closing the door and smiling slightly.

"Come on Andrew, which side d'you want? Left or right?" Xander asked, tiredly stripping off his clothes until only his boxers remained. He wanted to shower, but Giles seemed like he needed it more than Xander did and the young man was way too tired to wait until after the older man was done. It could wait.

Andrew stared in awe at Xander's naked back as the young man bent down to retrieve his socks. He couldn't speak. First Xander wanted to sleep in the same bed as him, and now, Xander was taking off his clothes. This day was definitely a good day… despite the fight and the deaths and the destruction of a whole city. And whatever those women said, Xander wasn't fat.

"Well, erm…" He started, finally getting a grip on himself, and answered Xander's question. "Whichever you want, I'm fine." He smiled nervously before playing with the hem of his shirt.

Xander shrugged, he wasn't awake enough to argue over which side of the bed he'd be sleeping on so he just climbed under the covers and closed his eyes, waiting for Andrew to join him. Well, not waiting, cause that would be admitting that he was looking forward to having the other young man in bed with him…

Andrew quickly took his shirt and pants off, climbing in bed beside Xander. He laid on his back, his eyes slowly closing down as he fought sleep. Why? He didn't know it just felt like something great was going to happen and he shouldn't be closing… his eyes… just… yet.

Sleep took the two young men swiftly and they turned and tossed in the bed before finally settling down into a restful sleep… Xander's arms wrapped around Andrew's torso, the blonde man's head buried under the brunette's chin, his own left arm draped over Xander's hip.

Giles reentered the bedroom after his shower to find the two younger men fast asleep and entangled on the bed and smiled a sad, but hopeful smile. Maybe they would find comfort in each other. It didn't matter that Andrew was immature and annoying at best, as long as Xander had someone to lean on. Giles wished he could have that too. Sighing, he turned off the light, climbed on his bed and fell asleep.
